The BCCF Sister Circle is an intergenerational program for women ages 18 and beyond. This space is designed to facilitate self-reflection and awareness, foster sisterhood, healthy relationships, and a village of support. The Sister Circle meets monthly on the 2nd Sunday for 2 hours.
Barbershops have traditionally served as gathering spots for men to discuss various topics. The Building Constructive Communities Foundation, Barbershop Conversation Movement is a safe space for male identifying individuals of color to connect, support and learn together.
BCM addresses topics such as:
mental health, sexuality, healthy relationships, masculinity, money management, fatherhood, violence prevention, and living a substance-free lifestyle. Sessions are held monthly on the 3rd Sunday.
The Queens with Dreams program is designed to offer middle and high school young ladies with a safe space to learn about themselves, develop healthy relationships with other females and caring adult women. Sessions are held weekly on Mondays 6:00pm-7:30pm.
The Community Wellness Series is a holistic program designed to promote well-being and balance in your daily life. Whether you're seeking stress relief, relaxation, or personal growth, our series offers a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals of all backgrounds. Take a step towards self-care and join our community in embracing wellness. Sessions are held weekly on Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm.
Mentoring and individualized support provides youth and adults with 1:1 time with a mental health or peer support professional that can assist them with processing and expressing feelings, learning coping strategies (ex. mindfulness), role rehearsals which allows the individual to practice new strategies, and understand the importance of self-care. This time can also be spent experiencing enrichment and exposure opportunities.

BCCF in collaboration with the Marine Toys for Tots Program, Empowerment Center of Richmond & Team Loaded Foundation provided toys for families in need during the Christmas Holiday season.
